Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Intimate Relationships is currently a free, content-first website. New accounts, credit balances, payments, paid report unlocks, and newsletter signups are paused.

Information used now

  • Basic technical and security data, such as browser type, device type, IP-based security signals, pages visited, and error logs.
  • Privacy-conscious analytics data used to understand which public articles, quizzes, games, and guides are useful.
  • Local activity history that you choose to keep in your browser. This versioned localStorage record contains only content type, slug, result label, completion time, and version. It does not contain names, partner answers, or free-text responses.

Local activity stays on the current device. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or changing devices can remove it. It is not synchronized to the website.

Paused historical systems

The website previously used third-party services for accounts, email delivery, and payments. Historical account, newsletter, and transaction records may remain with the original service providers, including Supabase, Resend, and Stripe, where retention is needed for prior purchases, opt-out records, security, tax, accounting, dispute handling, or legal obligations. The public website does not currently create new accounts, accept payments, sell credits, or collect new newsletter subscriptions.

Cookies and analytics

Essential browser storage remembers your privacy choices and optional quiz and game history. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only if you choose to allow analytics. It uses cookies and technical information, including page visits and device information, to help us understand how readers use the site. Declining analytics does not prevent you from reading or using the free activities. Vercel Analytics also provides aggregate, cookie-free usage measurements.

You can change your analytics choice through Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future Google Analytics requests after the page reloads and clears the Google Analytics cookies accessible on this domain. It does not erase measurements already received by Google.

Google advertising

We prepare selected articles for Google AdSense advertising. Preparing an advertising position does not mean an ad is currently shown. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and, with the required consent, personalize advertising based on visits to this and other websites.

Advertising is enabled only after our advertising and consent configuration is ready. Where required, a Google-certified consent management platform presents advertising choices before ads are requested. Analytics choices are separate from advertising consent. You can revisit advertising choices through the consent platform when advertising is available.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google's advertising cookie information, and Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage personalized advertising through My Ad Center. Turning off personalized ads does not necessarily remove all advertising.

Contact and privacy requests

Email hello@intimaterelationships.org with questions or requests about your information. Messages you send contain your email address and anything you choose to include. We use that information to respond and handle the request. Please do not send quiz answers, medical records, payment card details, or private information about another person. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to use of your personal information, or to withdraw consent.

Your choices

You can clear local activity from the Quizzes or Games page. Browser and analytics controls may also be available through your browser or privacy tools. For access, correction, or deletion requests concerning historical service data, contact hello@intimaterelationships.org.

Data safety

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. Do not enter sensitive personal, medical, legal, or identifying information into public quizzes or games.
